Dollhouse

Dollhouse ran it’s full season without airing Season 1 episode 13, whose “sordid” history can be summarized in this EW.com blog. I played a character named Mag, who is, as Joss said:

“A tough yet tender freedom-fighter in a post-apocalyptic future, DUH.”

In season 2, in another epic episode titled, “Epitaph Two”, I reprised the role, participating in the last episode of a really amazing series. Here’s a press release picture:

It was truly an honor to be a part of a great cast, and play a tougher role than I’d ever had the opportunity to play before. Definitely one of my more fun acting experiences.

I can’t wait to see you and this screening at Comic-Con then! :)

  2. Wes says:

So… Any plans for you in season 2? B/c the storyline from ep13 is Joss’s best work post Firefly. Not to say you weren’t great you stole the show. The part after the elevator shaft clime was gold. Anyways just curious.

I love Dollhouse but I didn’t recognize Felicia Day in the show, which I guess is a good thing since I usually only recognize people who are one dimensional actors. I’ll have to go back and watch it again and see if I can pick Miss Day out this time.

Just saw Epitaph 1 on DVD. It was the best “episode” of the season, I really, really enjoyed it. Really engrossing, brilliant concept, great acting from both new and regular cast members. And Felicia, watching it led me to your web page, where I’ve started watching the Guild, and now I’m enjoying that to no end as well! So well written & acted, thanks for sharing your talent with us masses!

  5. Matt says:

Holy cow. I just watched epitaph and I loved it. It was much more intense than the previous episodes. I agree with everything commenter David said!

  6. Mel says:

This episode was awesome. It wasn’t what I would have expected but it was great. Felicia you did a great job holding the gun. You couldn’t even tell it was your first time with a gun. The reason I watch Dollhouse is because of Eliza Dushku but she wasn’t really in this episode and I still thought it was one of the best. Great job Felicia. :) Can’t wait to see you in more episodes

Hey Felicia, I’m really disappointed I didn’t catch this premiere at CC. I was most likely stuck in hall H all day. :( But I’m jazzed to see it some day (hopefully on Blu Ray?)

I think it’s so cool that we picked up our badges right next to one another and on the last day, with just an hour or two left on the floor, I thought I’d take one, long non-stop video from aisle 100 all the way to the end (is it 5200??) and I caught you on film, chatting with some friends. hah! You were my first and last celeb sighting. So interesting!

Anyway I had a blast, can’t wait for the next CC. I think you’re just adorable, keep up the great work. Oh, and… did I just see you for like 30 seconds on Undeclared? (actually, that’s what prompted me to run and check out your site. haha.) Toodles!

Just saw “Epitaph One” on the “Dollhouse” DVD. Great job! Your crying scene was so well done, and so moving. I cried with you. And, what a great episode! IMO, it’s the best one so far.

In one of the extras interviews I laughed when someone suggested that you were the one person in the cast most likely to be a ‘doll’ in real-life. But, you are truly blessed with a wide range of talents: writer (“The Guild” is brilliant comedy), lyricist, violinist (nice Mendelssohn), dancer, singer (truly beautiful voice!), and actor. What did I miss? :-)

So, now that you have played “Mag”, any chance you might be able to audition to play “Mel”, another “tough yet tender freedom-fighter in a post-apocalyptic future”. :-) “Gattaca” is one of my all time favorite sci-fi movies. I can’t wait to see what Andrew Niccol will do with “The Host”. After having watched “Epitaph One”, I could definitely see you doing the role of Melynie Stryder.

  9. George says:

Oops. That should have been “Melanie Stryder” (not Melynie). Sorry about that.

    Hi Felicia,

I have become a big fan of yours since seeing you on Dr Horrible first then found you on The Guild. I am watching Dollhouse in England and wondered when the episode will be shown over here, I can no wait. You are amazing, talented and beautiful.

  11. Rai K says:

    Eeeeee!!!

My partner and I love your work and Dollhouse.
Neither of us recognised you in this episode and we can only say thats because you played your part so well. It was so captivating that we only saw you as ‘Mag’.

OOoo I hope they work up to you in a later continuation of “un-aired/ possible cancellation-backup- series endings.. OOo maybe its a lead up to a movie!!!!

I know I am speculating, but how exciting would it be!

    All the best

PS. If you had not caught it yet EVERY ONE LOOOOOOVVVEEESS ‘The Guild’!!!!

Please think about some stage shows -…… in Australia ;D … we would love to see you here.

Did you ever think your life would be so awesome!

  12. Justine says:

Who the hell is this Felicia day? is she another wannabe actress? LOL…

  13. Eric Z says:

I must admit, I’m not a huge fan of the recycled lines. I occasionally think that I’m watching them out of order.

Ignoring that, though, I LOVE the show! =D

  14. Eric Z says:

Oh yes, I must ask if there is any effort to find another network to air future seasons.

  15. Ship says:

One of the best episode ever, I don’t talk about Dollhouse, but about all the series I watched. I read on the comment that you “stole the show”… & yeah it’s todly that ! (even if I love Echo, or Saunders, or Sierra… No way, you were perfect !)

Can’t wait for Epitaph Two !

P.S: Sorry if the comment wasn’t todly clear, I’m a french teenage !

    • Loves Bitch says:

The correct spelling is totally. Even with that small mistake though you type english better than many American teens. Your comment is totally clear!

  16. wrdo says:

    Hi Felicia!!

I LOVED you as Mag, in both Epitaph episodes. I thought you were so great, and did a fabulous job showing the audience Mag’s fear as well as her toughness. (as well as her crushin on Maurissa Tancheroen. :D ) so good job and I can’t wait to see what else you do in the future!!!! :D

  17. appliances says:

Well, the photograph kind of makes us remember the type of mind travel system we all have seen in the big budget film “Avatar”. Even though that is not the case why this set up has been made here, I am sure that the Epitaph 2 is really much more of an entertainment for sure. I really do think that the role you have played here is really remarkable and admirable and I wish you more success in the following series as well!

  18. Don says:

I loved Dollhouse. The actors must have adored it. The ability to try so many characters in a single show must be surreal. I don’t recall you in the show but was horrified when it was canceled.
