WALL STREET JOURNAL

Clara
I wish my grandfather were still alive, he would have been so proud that I was in his favorite newspaper :) Nice article about how we’ve done and continue to do our show, with a great quote from the Internet’s Grande Alt-Dame, Xeni Jardin from Boing Boing:

“If you cruise through the top YouTube video categories such as comedy, all of the thumbnails [images from the video] have a hot girl with cleavage. What ends up most highly trafficked involves stupid women,” says Xeni Jardin, executive producer for Boing Boing Video. “She’s not pasted on as a figurehead by some online programming guy in a script that panders to Internet types.”

That was a very nice article!

And funny to see an article in a more “serious” site that writes through the whole thing: Ms. Day, Ms. Evey and Mr. Parikh. Sounds so… I don’t know, weird. But nice. =)

    Congratz!

Great article. My wife and I are and will continue to be huge fans of anything you do.

Plus, my wife says that she would kill to be the, ” quirky girl with a nonstandard face.”

I will now continue to chase my dream to be a writer just so that I can sell the rights to Hollywood with the understanding you have to be in it. ;)

Keep it up Felicia! As an actor, I admire what you’ve built and I point others to you as an example of what can be done. Get down with ya bad self!

    Dear “Ms. Day”,

I am writing to inquire about your rates. I am a lonely, successful businessman in need of discipline.

    Your humble servant,
    [redacted] Gates

I guess rates are negotiable, as long as they’re in units of gold pieces.

*giggle* I love how they were all Ms. Day, Ms. Evey, Mr. Parikh – somehow so odd to see it like that – we interwebbers I guess are just so darned used to being on a first name basis, even if we don’t know you in person at all :-)

    Awesome article!

Great write up on you and The Guild! Particularly enjoyed the part about your determination to retain your intellectual property while achieving a wider distribution. When we set about to create our show, we weren’t really prepared for all the different aspects of production we’d be involved with. All of the business-related activities have been a real eye-opener (and also “booze necessitator” and occasionally “barf inducer”).

Right now we’re trying to increase our distribution to reach an audience wider than the original lesbian community we created Seeking Simone for; trying to find the right approach (as well as the right platform) for each community is part of what makes producing SS so challenging and yet so rewarding!

We’re a chick-produced show as well (one of us is an actor and one a writer) and both you and The Guild had been a such an inspiration to us from the beginning. So we owe you double debt of gratitude – both as content creators and as inadvertent business women (oh, well maybe a triple debt – we’re nerdy nerdy gay fangrrrlz too!). Thank you thank you thank you! And we can’t wait for Season 3!

Congratulations “quirky girl”, just like all of us adoring fans… your Grandfather would be super proud!

It’s a great article and refreshing to read about how hard you worked and what good choices you made rather than how hot you are (though, obviously, you *are* hot).

Well done to you all :)

Congrats, Felicia! We all knew you’re an amazing role model, but it’s nice that to see it recognized by official media. (Plus, you are utterly gorgeous. I agree with Christopher’s wife — I would kill to be the ”quirky girl with a nonstandard face.”)

Oops… had an errant word in that second sentence. Naturally, I spotted it two seconds AFTER I posted. Sigh!

What an awesome article! It included some really nice insight into Ms Day’s background. I really hope that much more success comes your way. Your new Video “Do You Wanna Date My Avatar.” Is amazing, 2.7 million hits!! Now let’s just start a campain to get you on “Dollhouse” as a regular.

air force ones shoes White Electric Green Ladies are handily outnumbering mens releases when it comes to Nike Mens Air Jordan 2.5 of White Black Blue this week. The latest is a womens lowtop in the subtle 07 reshape thats been most common at retailers since the nike air force ones Anniversary. And theyre a good indication of why the it has incredible staying power, as the application of lime green on the outsole, tongue tag and heel tab makes for a springy delight when mixed with white patent leather.
