I have Spam Karma AND Akismet plugins and maybe having BOTH installed is being way too overboard. I think I'll deactivate one to see if that alleviates the problem. It's weird, too, because SpamKarma works so well for me. Hm. Are you running WP-Cache at all? I suppose you could edit down some of the advanced settings in some of the SK2 plugins. >.> It's hard to say without knowing the details of the current setup and all that.
