Hey all!  Went on Jimmy Fallon last night, he is such a nice person, as are all the people who work over there, including producers Mark and Gavin. Doing a talk show is pretty nerve wracking, but having done it once already, it was actually fun!  Here’s the interview we did:

And here’s the trailer Bioware released this morning, super cool!

I am so excited to share this with you this summer! Right now I’m heading back to LA from doing interviews and plan to go underground to get the Guild script done (and to avoid having people get sick of my face online, haha), but here are some interviews I’ve done about the project the last few days, if you’re curious:
Newsarama
MTV

IO9

Kotaku
Many months of post-production work ahead to get the episodes together, director @peterwinther is so awesome though, we are in good hands. Alright, thank you so much for your enthusiastic response to the announcements, after 11 months of insanely hard work, it was such a gift to see :)

This looks so good. Can’t wait!

  2. RadNerd says:

    Great interview Felicia, AND guns!

  3. Marcus says:

Looks real good, can’t wait for the game and video, good job :-)

  4. Felicia says:

I have no idea why there’s that big white space between the post and the comments section, for the life of me I can’t see why, grrr!

    • Dani says:

      Time to call Edgar! =P

      The trailer is AWESOME!

    • Jake says:

In regard to the “big white space between the post and the comments section,” it looks fine to me in Chrome after removing the empty div with style=”clear: both;” that I see immediately after the “You can start editing here” comment; that guy is a blocker. But then the first user comment looks strange, which I fix by removing the first, second or third style rule in the “.comment::after” element of style.css. Hope that helps:)

    • Ariel says:

Adorable , thank you for being , i enjoy every bit of expression , reaction , movement and feelings you express .
I’m happy for you that you managed to hook into merging some of your dreams into reality .

    • Ariel says:

one thing I’m thinking/feeling about your position in life as being a wide world adorable being is that it must be “feeding” you , in a sense of Energy , not just the taught/feeling that rise for knowing you are , just the attention towards you , i mean , i feel that attention is an energy , and when it’s pointed towards something it feeds that something/someone.

so at the end of the day (like you always love saying) is my thought anywhere close to reality ?
      in your perspective .

  5. Ian says:

    Nice guns!! :)

    • Edward says:

That is truly awesome! Congrats! And a special brava for writing the script too, that way it is guaranteed to be good. Very wise of the gods to choose you for that! AND I always thought you were really an elf pretending to be human and now my theory has been proven! keep up the good work…

      • Grats, it looks awesome! Dream come true, yeah! Must have been hella fun.

My WoW addiction is finally winding down – no thanks to you and The Guild! :P And I’ve been playing Dragon Age: Origins. Check it out – my mom is 72 and asked me for Dragon Age for her birthday! She’s been playing CRPGs since The Bard’s Tale. Isn’t she the coolest?!

  6. John W says:

Is it ever going to be released on DVD/BD?

(Don’t worry you got a ways to go before we get sick of you. ;-))

  7. LJ says:

    Looks awesome !

  8. Ian says:

And thank you for your insanely hard work. We fans insanely appreciate it.

  9. Kcat10 says:

I am so excited for you, Felicia! Your Dragon Age Redemption trailer looks awesome! Hurray for you, and for continuing to show the world that women can be beautiful, feminine, and very strong! You rock!

I bet that incredibly rude woman was mortified when she found out who she stuck her nose up at! Well, she isn’t the one starring in your amazing new production: You are!

    Go, Felicia!

  10. sawyerwolf says:

Man I can’t wait for this to hit the interwebs. Looks awsome.

  11. Heath says:

    Wow. Looks great!
I also just wanted to comment that I love your work and you have great twitter posts.
Keep it coming, and if you can convince Joss Wheadon to write a new TV show with you in the cast then I’d be a happy man. ;)

  12. Robin says:

Congratulations! You look so effing badass in that trailer. Can’t wait to see the whole series. :)

  13. Rook says:

This is great! It is nice to see an actress from the gaming community take a role like this!

  14. Andrew Geczy says:

I laughed way too hard at that trailer. It was just trying so hard to be serious and epic…and it’s so hard to take Felicia Day serious. I’ve never felt so guilty for laughing before.

  15. John W says:

Finally saw it Jimmy Fallon. Nice guns!

  16. Eleni says:

So cool! Great interview (nice dress!), and I love the trailer. So jealous that you learned how to dual-wield daggers…

I can’t wait to see the show. Though my friend Holly Conrad (of Kotaku fame: http://kotaku.com/5560453/this-could-be-the-beginning-of-a-beautiful-mass-effect-2-cosplay) is disappointed she didn’t get to help make the costumes. Haha, maybe next time :)

  17. David R says:

I really like that trailer, I will eagerly await the series this summer!

  18. Pointy says:

Thank you for being, and staying, so damn impressive, Felicia! Or, as I think of you now, Ol’ Venti Ears.

  19. Joshua S says:

OMG! This looks amazing Felecia! It’s really cool that you are doing stuff in the video game realm, keep up the amazing work!

  20. Fourak says:

    This is really awesome!

I´m a bit of a fan of yours since the guild and that avatar song… you really do original good stuff.

Good luck with your career, keep it up.

  21. WTL says:

Where do we pre-order the DVD for the series? ;-)

  22. CaptainHowdy says:

Love it and good Lord you are one beautiful woman! I don’t know why you aren’t in more shows or even have your own. Keep up the great work!

    • Brett McCoy says:

Move over Princess Leia and Batgirl, you got some competition now for male teen fantasies!

      • Jeri says:

I am so looking forward to Dragon Age Redemption and Guild Season V – I have a question for you or perhaps you can re-direct. I can’t make up my mind between continuing to play AION, going back to Final Fantasy, getting started in WOW (but omg the graphics suck), starting with Dragon Age II or going with the Oblivion (which I adored) sequel. Suggestions? So looking forward to seeing your great acting and writing on the net soon again!

  23. Chris says:

  24. Thomas says:

I was just looking out for some news about the “Guild”… now there is something entirely new to be curious and excited about.
From what the trailer promises, i just can’t wait to see more.
Best wishes for this new project of yours!!
The road goes ever on and on …

  25. Workshop2 says:

OMG OMG OMG looks awesome. Felicia you looked awesome – liked the dress :)

  26. Amanda says:

Trailer is awesome!!! I hope you have many more interviews to come. :D

  27. Megan says:

I love that you have “guns” now, it’s great to see women who are physically strong and proud of it! I cannot WAIT to see the full series – I’m looking forward to it just as much as Dragon Age II. Thanks for your hard work!

  28. PinkKeith says:

I think the look Felicia gave Jimmy Fallon when he mentioned Q*bert, almost as if she didn’t know who Q*bert was. She did know, didn’t she?

Also, I think if I was approached to star in a movie based on my favorite RPG I’d get out of gamer shape as well. :) Now that is motiviation to work out!

  29. A. says:

I wanted to thank you for being an inspiration. It’s wonderful what you have meant for web tv by creating The Guild. You are really a pioneer, which has less to do with being the first, but more with being quality. I’m sure Dragon Age will be as good, as The Guild was and is in its own realm. What’s extra wonderful about it, is that you manage to open the world of gaming to an audience that knew little about it. I have never played a game, other than my GameBoy or Roller Coaster Tycoon (don’t judge me) and yet I’m in love with what you create. It’s a delight to see someone as smart, talented and nice as you being successful at what you do. I wish you all the best.

PS: You looked beautiful on Fallon.

PPS: Pardon my poor English, I am from Belgium. Which is by the way another extraordinary element of your work. In comparison to big money television, it succeeds much better in reaching out to a big audience, an audience all over the world.

  30. Cheryl says:

That looks AMAZING. I can’t wait to see it!

    I wish I was a hot elf.

  31. SeanB says:

Felicia Day, you’re the greatest, the end.

  32. Sofia says:

The trailer looks absolutely fantastic. I’m a huge Dragon Age fan and can’t wait to see the series!

  33. robbin says:

  34. Wrenaria says:

Oh, honey. You know your adoring public could never “get sick of [your] face online.” Silly girl. You looked gorgeous on Fallon. Your hair is getting remarkably long. Pretty. :)

  35. Billy Miller says:

    Hi Felicia!
Great interview with Fallon, was my favorite part of the show :)
PS. Cant wait to try out dragon age 2

  36. Mal McLean says:

Felicia, I honestly hope that this project starts a trend with videogame adaptions to video and movies: writers and directors that are actually fans of the projects they are making.

Too many of us have watched the Uwe Boll massacres of beloved videogame franchises (Bloodrayne, Alone in the Dark, House of the Dead, Mario Brothers, etc) that most videogame adaptations are approached with caution if not outright dread. One thing I can think of in particular is the upcoming ‘Uncharted’ movie that is currently under fire for NOT hiring Nathan Fillion in the lead role, the director doesn’t even seem that familiar with the source material. This bodes not well for the outcome of the movie as a whole.

In your case; however, I believe that the source material will be treated with the respect it deserves. It’s clear that you are very knowlegable in regards to the lore and the game itself. I am looking forward to the release in the summer and I hope that Bioware DOES give some thought to allowing Tallis to appear as later DLC in DA2. That would be all kinds of awesome, I admit.

  37. Felicia — you are truly awkwardly adorable. Loved you on Fallon. More GUILD please

  38. My undying loyalty to Blizzard Entertainment, has just died. Amen. Bethesda, it been nice. HELLLLOOOOO BioWare, I am your new slave, and if you let miss Day be in your next cast, you get my stinking soul.

  39. John Kelseck says:

Felicia what can be said other than phantasmagorical! You can kick my butt any day! ; )

  40. J Cav says:

See Village Voice for a gratuitous put down of Ms Day during Odd Futures performance on Fallon. A “slightly mortified” geek goddess (OK goddess is true enough) but really…a’ Wolf’ shout out when Tyler stuck mic in her face and dancing and high fiving band after seemed way cool to this observer. And wtf is steve macias’ problem in comments, not that I really want to know.

  41. Brian says:

If only we could get Felicia to have a VA part in DA3 (and in ME3 too) my life would be complete!

  42. Vitus says:

I love the Bioware RPG works since the very first games and the Dragon Age has really hit me – so I have been surprised to learn about the Dragon Age Redemption in the pages of Dragon Age II – this of course has lead me to the pages of Felicia Day and the consequently to The Guild and I must say The Guild has really get me so I had to watch all the episodes in one row today and I hope to see more of The Guild work (as mentioned in the blog) and as far as I can feel the RPGs are the Felicia´s beloved seas and Bioware is probably putting a strong artistical support to it, I am pretty sure the Dragon Age Redemption will posses the same qualities as The Guild. /And I just need to admit, that I am a bit of old-school RPG guy – it means traditional tabletop RPG and in case of PCs I am playing off-line – so for The Guild one do not have to be a MMORPG-style player to fully enjoy it and I suppose Dragon Age Redemption will be a similar experience./

  43. Richard C. says:

I wasn’t sure of the ears in the stills, but this looks great.

  44. Rob in Ottawa says:

OK Both of thoes are just SO COOL !!!!!

I cant wait to see it.

    Grats on the new series!

  45. Nicole from the Netherlands says:

    I can’t wait!!
    Go Felicia!

  46. Eilonvi says:

hey Felicia, you looked real pretty on the show! and also as a fierce elf in the teaser :)

  47. miah says:

wait, he has a talk show?

  48. Janine says:

How exciting, a live DA series! I really enjoy the work you’ve done (Dr. Horrible, The Guild). I am very eager to see Redemption; I am a pretty big Dragon Age nerd. Good luck with the premiere, I know many of us are very happy for you and your success!

  49. Melody says:

I just started playing Dragon Age Origins. LOVE it!! Cannot wait to see this series!!!!!!
How cool to be in this? I am jealous Felicia!! :)

  50. KT says:

Felicia, my daughter and I can’t wait for Redemption and Guild Season 5 to come out. We are both big fans and game geeks ourselves.

I bought Dragon Age 2 after seeing this post last month. I’ve played a lot of other RPGs, but DA is by far my favorite. I’m embarrassed to say how many hours I’ve logged.

It is the most immersive game I’ve ever played, especially because of the level of detail involved – the graphics, storyline, voice actors, and a healthy dose of humor. It’s also a good one for women because you get to play a strong, kick a– fighter and build relationships with your posse.

Anyway, looking forward to seeing a parallel story to the game. Best wishes with both series this summer!

  51. 6502 says:

You are doing an old media publicity tour for a web show. Is the unprecedented? oh and lol to the link references.

  52. Hi Felicia!
I looked into your role in the TV series Eureka! I’m excited!))
I have an offer for you and your agent, I want you to dinner priglosit in Russia …
