		<description>I hate that this is considered a liberal opinion.  When I was a kid we were taught, &quot;We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.&quot;   Those were the conservative values that we wanted to found a nation on.   What could be more in line with the &quot;pursuit of happiness&quot; than the ability of two adults to marry the one they love.

We started on the right path but it seems that moral compasses are not meant for path finding.

Religion is the ultimate double edged sword.   Nothing does more good and more harm in the world today.    I blame the messengers though, not the message.</description>

What good is morality if it tells us not to love each other? I consider myself a very moral person, and my friends and teachers can tell you that I value knowledge, kindness and compassion. Does none of that count simply because I&#039;m gay? I think the world would be a better place if we could learn to love, instead of following &quot;morals&quot; that are derived from old customs instead of kindness. After all, the &quot;truth,&quot; in social matters, is what we choose to make it. Shouldn&#039;t we choose the truth that makes the most people happy?</description>
